Overnight in Tirana

 

As Day 1 we will start guided tour from Skenderbeg Square – The heart of Tirana, named after Albania’s national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. It’s surrounded by important landmarks and is a great starting point for exploring the city.

We will see numerous important building like National History Museum, Et’hem Bey Mosque beautifully decorated 18th-century mosque, one of the oldest buildings in Tirana, known for its intricate frescoes and historical significance, Clock Tower which dates back to the early 19th century and offers a great panoramic view of the city.

In city you can see presence of 3 religions.

Beside mentioned mosque we will also see St. Paul Catholic Cathedral, and Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the Balkans.

Another famous district in city The Block (Blloku) – Once an exclusive area for communist elites, Blloku is now Tirana’s trendiest district, filled with lively bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops.

And for the end, we will see iconic landmark of this city – famous Pyramid of Tirana originally built as a museum for communist leader Enver Hoxha, this unique pyramid-shaped structure has become an iconic, though controversial, landmark.

After Tirana city tour, we are going to visit nearby cute town Kruje, a birth place of national hero Skenderbeg and historic town famous for its medieval castle, the Skanderbeg Museum, and its charming Ottoman-style bazaar.

It was the stronghold of Skanderbeg, who led resistance against the Ottomans. The town offers stunning mountain views.

Overnight in Tirana

Day 2 starts once again in Tirana, but this time, we are starting our Road Trip from Tirana to Ohrid towards Elbasan. On the way we will have beautifull scenery through valleys of rivers and mountains.

After we cross Albanian – Macedonian border, first attraction of our day will be St. Naum monastery, beautiful Orthodox monastery on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Founded in the 10th century by Saint Naum, a disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius, it is known for its stunning frescoes, breathtaking lake views, resident peacocks and the natural springs that feed into the lake.

And then, first UNESCO heritage site on this tour – Ohrid, picturesque old town, known for its rich history and well-preserved medieval architecture. Features ancient churches, a historic fortress, and one of Europe’s oldest lakes, making it a cultural and natural gem of the Balkans. During guided tour you will learn everything about it!

 

Overnight in Ohrid

As the Day 3 of our tour begins, we are starting our way to Macedonia’s capital city – Skopje.

On the way to Skopje you will have a chance to witness views on one of wildest and tallest Balkans mountains – Shara Mountain.

After road trip, we will do city tour of Skopje, city of contrasts, blending historic landmarks with modern architecture. Known for its massive statues, the iconic Stone Bridge, and the Old Bazaar, it offers a mix of Ottoman, Byzantine, and contemporary influences. The city is also famous as the birthplace of Mother Teresa and for its vibrant cultural scene.

 

Overnight in Skopje

In the morning of Day 4, we are leaving Macedonia and starting our way to Prizren, which is located in Kosovo region, south province of Serbia, a third country on your journey.

Prizren is a historic city known for its well-preserved Ottoman and Orthodox architecture, beautiful mosques, churches and the iconic Stone Bridge. Medieval fortress offers stunning views, a lively cultural scene, and a mix of Serbian, Turkish, and Albanian influences.

On our tour we will visit old town of Prizren, Sinan Pasha mosque, one more UNESCO heritage site – Our Lady of Ljevish church and Kalaja Fortress, followed with some nice lunch, it will be enjoyable.

After Prizren, we are visiting one more UNESCO heritage site – Gracanica monastery nearby Pristina, dating back to early 14th century, it is a masterpiece of medieval Serbian architecture, known for its intricate original frescoes and five-domed structure.

After history, get ready for some nature, Devil’s Town is a unique natural phenomenon, known for its eerie landscape of over 200 tall, stone formations shaped by erosion. The area is also home to acidic mineral springs, adding to its mystique. Legends say the formations are the result of a supernatural event, giving the site its devilish name.

Transfer to Nis

 

Overnight in Nis

Morning of Day 5 starts in Nis, birth city of Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Nis features landmarks like Fortress, Skull Tower, Mediana Roman Archeological site and Red Cross Concentration Camp which is one of few preserved nazi camps in Europe all included on our city tour.

After guided city tour of Nis, we are heading towards Serbia’s capital Belgrade, but not before we pay a visit to one of most beautiful natural parts of Serbia – Eastern Serbia and it’s jewells

Here you will be able to see a early 15th century Orthodox monastery Manasija. Nestled in mountains and with fort around it, with amazing frecos will be one more cultural and historical addition to this tour.

After monastery, we are going straight to Resava Cave, officially second most beautiful cave of Europe according to cave jewelery (stalagmites and stalactites)

Welcome to Belgrade!

Day 6 is reserved for one of biggest capitals of Balkans

This day will be fully dedicated to Belgrade, which has so many things to offer.

Most important city between Istanbul and Wien, where East meets West, Belgrade is a city of rich history, culture, and vibrant nightlife.

Overlooking the confluence of rivers Sava and Danube, it is home to landmarks like Kalemegdan Fortress, Saint Sava Temple, and Skadarlija bohemian quarter.

With a blend of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern influences, Belgrade offers lively cafes, historic sites, and a unique charm that makes it one of the Balkans most exciting cities.

Perfect destination for last night on tour as well, because it offers various types of nightlife entertaiment like bars, clubs, restaurants with live music – the best for the end.

Last day of the tour Day 7

 

Depending on your flight departure, it’s possible to have a free time or even to do more sightseeing in Belgrade.

One of options is to visit Museum of Yugoslavia, where you will have a chance to see burial place of Josip Broz Tito, Yugoslav iconic lifetime president and learn more about history of Yugoslavia.

Visit Zemun, once town on its own, nowdays part of Belgrade, features Austrian-Hungarian vibes and architecture. Zemun in the past used to be mostly part of Austrian-Hungarian empire while Belgrade was under Ottoman rule.

Visit Gardos tower and feel mediterranean vibes on Danube riverwalk and eat some nice fish or seafood in some of local restaurants.
