Overnight in Belgrade

As Day 1 on our tour, we will start with our sightseeing in Serbia’s capital city – Belgrade.

Belgrade as one of oldest European cities and real crossroads of East and West has many tales to be shared. It’s also ideal place to start your Balkans Road Trip because once upon a time Belgrade was most important point between East and West or Istanbul and Wien.

A city with real mix of cultures, architectures was always known as white city! Maybe because of its position on confluence of two beautiful rivers or because of white stone that he was made of.

Belgrade Fortress stands as the biggest attraction of the city, together with St. Sava temple will be point of interests for you during city tour of Belgrade.

City that never sleeps today will show you very unique spirit which will be proudly presented by your local tour guide.

Amazing food and drinks, great restaurants and totally warm and welcome atmosphere is something characteristic for Belgrade and it will be perfect for Balkans Road Trip starting point

 

Overnight in Belgrade

On Day 2, we start our road trip from Belgrade to Zagreb – the longest journey of the tour – right at the beginning, while you’re still full of energy.

Arrival to Zagreb it planned for afternoon.

Zagreb city tour will be done in late afternoon hours.

Zagreb city tour you will start in Ban Jelačić Square, the heart of the city.

Then we will go up to the historic Upper Town to see St. Mark’s Church, with its iconic tiled roof, and enjoy the panoramic view from Lotrščak Tower.

Wander through the charming streets before heading down to Dolac Market, Zagreb’s lively open-air market.

We will also explore vibrant Tkalčićeva Street, lined with cozy cafés, bars, pubs and boutiques.

 

Overnight in Zagreb

Day 3 will easily start in Zagreb without any rush.

From Zagreb to Ljubljana we have only 1,5h of road trip with nice scenic drive.

Ljubljana is awaiting us and around noon we will do city tour of this charming town.

Capital of Slovenia is famous for cozy, laid-back atmosphere.

We will start guided tour in Prešeren Square, the lively heart of the city, and cross the iconic Triple Bridge into the charming Old Town.

We will stroll along the Ljubljanica River, admiring colorful Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings.

We will visit Ljubljana Castle for stunning panoramic views before heading down to explore the bustling Central Market.

In the afternoon, you will have a chance to enjoy a coffee on Ljubljana streets or relax in Tivoli Park, the city’s green oasis.

Another possibility is to end your day with a romantic riverside dinner.

 

Overnight in Ljubljana

On Day 4 we are leaving Ljubljana and going to one of Balkans most famous destinations – Lake Bled

Just a 40 minutes drive from Ljubljana, Lake Bled is a stunning alpine getaway, known for its emerald waters, a picturesque island with a church, and medieval castle on a cliff, offering breathtaking views.

Ideal for making postcard photos!

Boat tour will be possible to do on this lake according to your preferences.

 

After relaxing lake Bled, we are going to Italy!

Well, just to nearby coastal town of Trieste, which can be easily described as capital of Adriatic easy-life style.

It’s known for its unique blend of Italian, Austro-Hungarian, and Serbian-Slovenian influences. With its grand Piazza Unità d’Italia, historic cafés, picturesque waterfront, and the stunning Miramare Castle, Trieste offers a mix of rich history, vibrant culture, and scenic beauty.

Definetely a must visit spot on this tour.

 

Overnight in Trieste

 

 

On Day 5 after getting breeze of Adriatic sea, we are staying on coast.

We are going back to Croatia again and this time famous old town Rovinj.

Rovinj is charming coastal town in Croatia, known for its colorful old town, narrow cobblestone streets, and stunning Adriatic views, with the iconic Church of St. Euphemia overlooking the sea.

More leisure combined with breeze of Adriatic sea is guaranteed here.

After Rovinj, we are going to Pula, another famous coastal town in region of Istria.

Just 40 mins away from Rovinj but completely different feeling you will have in this city.

Pula is famous for its remarkably well-preserved Roman Amphitheater (Pula Arena), one of the best in the world, as well as its rich ancient history, beautiful Adriatic beaches, and vibrant cultural scene.

Day 6 starts at leisure on coast of Pula town

Since it’s hard to part with the easy-going Mediterranean lifestyle, we’ll visit one more coastal gem – Opatija.

Opatija is a charming Adriatic town in Croatia, known for its elegant villas, luxurious seaside promenades.

Once a prestigious 19th-century resort for European aristocracy, Opatija still exudes an air of sophistication with its grand hotels, lush botanical gardens, and stunning Adriatic views.

After Opatija, we are going to discover something completely new on this tour.

Postojna cave,officially most beautiful European cave, stretching over 24 kilometers, it features stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and underground halls, which visitors explore by a unique electric train. The cave is home to the mysterious olm (proteus), a rare, blind amphibian known as the “human fish.”

After cave we will go either to Ljubljana or Zagreb depending on your return flight for overnight

Depending on your flight schedule and your preference you can have either free time or you can spend part of day exploring around with guide.
