Our story
Our journey began with a simple passion—sharing the culture, spirit, hidden gems of the Balkans with travelers from around the world. After years of exploring the region, we realized that traditional and massive tours often miss the real essence of these places. That’s why we set out to create something different: immersive, engaging, and tailor-made experiences that go beyond the usual tourist spots and with real focus on meeting local life and culture.
If someone in your group is not fully able-bodied, then contact us in advance with information and your requirements. We are here to help you in every way and we aim to create tour packages tailored to best suit your group – including physical ability as well.
Balkans Road Trip uses English as the go-to language for its tours, but there are options to host tours in other languages as well. In order to select a language different from English, you have to contact us well in advance to make the necessary preparations
Yes, you can. Custom-tailored trips are our speciality. Please contact us and we will let you know dates when we have guests with same preferences as yours.
It’s always best to give us at least a few week’s in advance contact – especially for multi-day, multi-country, larger group tours.
But of course, feel free to contact us anyway, anytime.
We suggest booking your tour as soon as you book your flight tickets and you are sure of the number of people in your group, to plan it best as possible for you.
Pricing on our website includes transportation with a car (fuel, VAT, tolls, parking fees). Entry fees for every attraction on itinerary. Licensed tour guides during tour with great local knowledge.
We fully offer 24/7 support during tour and we will be happy to help you.
Also you can always count on your tour guide to help you with anything or to answer any of your questions and dilemmas.
Usually, with groups we do not include food in the final price since we don’t want to decide what and how much you will eat. However, we are carefully planning best local restaurants during touring with your guide as we also include time slots for lunch or dinner during day and activity.
This depends on your group’s size. Balkans Road Trip provides comfortable vehicles for small groups sedan or SUV cars, minivans and vans for up to 8 passengers.
You’ll need to pay 30% as a deposit to reserve tours. Payments can be made via bank transfer. The other 70% can be paid in cash at the end of the tour. You can pay in GBP, EURO or USD.
We head off from wherever you are coming to. We are happy to meet you anywhere in the Balkans. Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria… Just let us know! If you wish to be picked up from another European country, this can be arranged as well.
No, tour can be ended anywhere on Balkans where you prefer to fly out. Our driver / guide will return vehicle to our base.
“Free time” in your itinerary means that you will have time to relax, go shopping or explore the city on your own. Your guide or driver won’t necessarily accompany you during the free time, but they will be “around” if you need advice or in case of any problems.
“Free day” means you will have the whole day free, you can take a rest, go shopping or why not visit a museum. This will be a free day for your guide / driver too, but you can contact them in case of problem or if you need a local tips.
You can always negotiate directly with your driver / guide if he will be available during the free time.
Our tours are planned to give you a great mix of guided activities and free time. Each day, you’ll spend around 8 to 10 hours with your guide, exploring and experiencing new places. The daily itinerary usually ends by 5-6 PM, so you’ll have the evening to relax, explore on your own, or rest before the next day’s adventure.
If we are not able to visit some of the sights at your convenience, the tour continues according to program and we won’t go back. The fees and other expenses included in advance in the final price of the tour are not refundable. Of course, if tickets for some of attractions are not bought in advance, refund for tickets is possible.
This tour requires normal level of fitness and is doable for anyone of normal level of fitness.
On request, we can make slower pace and lower level of fitness tour and on other side we can make it more intense as well.
